Justin, there is an organization, called International Union of Genocide Scholars (http://www.genocidescholars.org)that several times unanimously declared that in 1915 there was a Genocide against Armenians by Turkish authorities. So far 21 countries adopted resolutions condemning the Armenian Genocide, while no state, except Turkey and Azerbaijan denies it.
You have to take also into consideration, that Armenians used to live in their homeland since antic times, look though the books of Strabon or Plutarch or Herodotus, while Turks invaded these territories and wiped out native inhabitants - Armenians, Greeks, Assyrians etc. You also must ask to yourself a question: where are the belongings of the Armenians who used to live in Armenia/Ottoman Turkey before 1915? Their soil, money, everything... Who owned it after 1915 when the Armenians where either killed or exiled?

This is nonsense.

The massacres do not amount to genocide.

Let me ask you: does the violence the Armenians did to Turks and Kurds in the region amount to genocide?

Does the policy of the Greeks during their revolution amount to genocide?

What about the acts of the Bulgars against the Turks? 20,000 walled up and starved to death in but one instance -- does that constitute significant evidence of genocide? 200,000 dead total in Bulgaria -- how does that sit with you?

Either the Turks have been victims of many more genocides than the (still!) wailing Christians, or you cannot begin to call this a genocide.

In the case of the Armenians, particularly, absolutely NO ANTI-ARMENIAN VIOLENCE PRECEDED THE FORMATION OF THE TERRORIST GROUPS THAT LED THE ARMENIAN REBELLION!

You are a fool, and your site is garbage. You do disservice to humanity. Does Turkey "indoctrinate" their children with a nationalist view? Well, every nation does, first of all! And, secondly, they are merely being taught the truth! I never grew up in Turkey, yet the truth of this matter is clear to anyone who investigates!!! Does Turkey refuse to hear of this genocide stuff? Yes -- as well they should, since it is garbage.

Of course, free speech shouldn't be restricted... but, on that count, France is the guiltier party, aren't they? After all, they are restricting the expression of the truth, whereas Turkey's response is a reaction to the profound popularity of this racist lie.

(Racist? To the core. The Turks were an enemy at the time of the so-called 'genocide'. The reports were propaganda, completely one-sided. There's not a mention of what the Turks endured. Even the British propagandists admitted as much after the War!

This business is -- wholly! -- a matter of racism, and you, sir, are either bigoted or incompetent if you believe the lie.
